HTC Desire A17
Release Date: 08/08/2018
Sony, the Japanese mobile phone manufacturer has announced the new Xperia XZ1 and the Xperia XZ1 compact on the eve of IFA 2017 in Berlin. In the mean while, now we have few details about a Sony smartphone, which seems to be pretty new. It is believed that the manufacturer is working on a new handset known as Xperia ZG Compact. It was spotted on Geekbench and so the presence of the handset has been confirmed, without any doubt. Geekbench listing gives limited information about the same, but, now, at least we are aware of the existence of the device. The Sony Xperia ZG Compact price in India is Rs.38,000 and the tentative release date is September 2017.
Here are our first looks of the smart phone.
Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.
Water resistant screen
Snapdragon 810 chip
Non-removable Li-Ion battery
No wireless charger
As far as the Geekbench listing is concerned, the smartphone is reportedly carrying a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa-core 1.55GHz processor that flaunts decent processing speeds and is clubbed with 2GB of RAM. In terms of the software, the Xperia ZG compact seems to be using Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.Since the phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat it enables superior multitasking like split screen feature. It also comes with an Adreno graphics processing unit. Let us remember that, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset was used in Sony Xperia Z5 Compact way back in 2015 and the Snapdragon 810 chipset processor used in Sony Xperia ZG Compact has a slightly better performance than the Xperia Z5 Compact.
The handset sports a 23MP primary camera. The unique primary camera simplifies and makes clear pictures really easy to take. The front facing or selfie camera has an 8MP camera and comes with a flashlight of course.
Design and Display:
This smartphone flaunts an awesome display screen. The screen size is 4.7-inches fully HD screen. The screen is equipped with water proof properties. The handset brings on board a 10 point multi-touch display. The resolution of the screen is 1080*1920 pixels.
The handset is fitted with 32GB built-in storage capacity and has room for external storage using a memory card. The microSD card can be used to expand the memory up to 512GB.
The battery appears to be somewhat smaller. The device is fuelled by a 2600mAh Li-ion battery, with support for USB microUSB v2.0.
One wonders why Sony would use a Snapdragon 810 chip in 2017. Simply put, the Xperia ZG compact seems to be just another version of the Xperia Z5 Compact. Hence, you won’t be surprised if this will replace the old Xperia Z5 compact. Or who knows, you might get a completely new model altogether. To conclude, the details shared are based on market rumors we have heard till now about the Sony Xperia ZG Compact and you need to wait for the official launch date to get authentic specifications.
