Processor:

The Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with Android Lollipop operating system and it can be upgraded to the latest Android Marshmallow operating system. The phone comes with a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 chipset, and an Octa-core (4x1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4x1.3 GHz Cortex-A53) processor. The phone comes with 2GB RAM and the graphics on this unit is powered by an Adreno 405 GPU.

Camera:

The Samsung Galaxy A8 camera features comes with a 16MP primary camera that features autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR. This camera unit has an aperture of f/1.9. The camera records [email protected] fps videos. The selfie shooter on this is a 5MP shooter.

Storage:

The Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with an internal storage space of 32GB and can be expanded up to 256GB using a dedicated expandable memory card slot. So, running out of storage space will not be a problem.

The Samsung Galaxy A8’s battery is a non-removable 3050 mAh battery that provides a music playback time of 51 hours and a talk time of up to 17 hours on 3G.

Design and display:

The Samsung Galaxy A8 has a 5.7 inch SUPER AMOLED touchscreen with a screen to body ratio of 73.8%. This super screen produces a display resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels with a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch. This screen is protected from external damage by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 unit.

Verdict:

The Samsung Galaxy A8 full specification is not so impressive. Though it comes with 2GB RAM and expandable memory of 256 GB and a large screen. The competition like OnePlus 3 and Xiaomi Mi 5 16GB provide much better features and specifications at much lesser prices.
