Do make a note that models with 5 years warranty are eligible for 3 years global warranty coverage. While models coming with 3 and 2 years warranty are covered under domestic service only.   

The users are eligible for replacement of products under the warranty policy. They could be provided with new or reconditioned products. Warranty does not apply if the warranty period is over, the label is broken, the serial number is missing, or any modifications has been done. Even if the customer’s product is not covered under warranty, QNAP may offer repair services under customer’s payment.

What is the default username and password for my QNAP NAS?

The default username and password for your NAS drive is an admin. if you have not changed it before, then, the username and password are admin, otherwise, you would have to press the reset button on the back for 3 seconds for password reset. A beep sound should be heard for confirmation of the reset.

What is the maximum media file size support?

The maximum media file size support is 2GB. This applies to all NAS series models from QNAP.

What is the port number used by Turbo NAS?

The port number used by Turbo NAS varies according to the protocol used. Below we have listed down few protocols and the respective port number used.

FTP – 20 and 21 by default and is configurable.

Passive FTP port - 55536 ~ 56559 by default and is configurable

SSH - 22 by default and is configurable.

SMTP - 25 by default and is configurable.

Web Server/HTTP - 80; HTTPS - 8081 by default and is configurable.

Netbios/SAMBA - 137, 138, 139, 445

SSL/HTTPS - 443 by default and is configurable
