Intex Technologies, founded in 1996, is an Indian smartphone, consumer durables and IT Accessories manufacturer. Intex is headquartered in New Delhi, India. They make very basic phones not very high end ones.

Processor:

The Intex Aqua Q8 is powered by a Spreadtrum SC7731C Quad-core processor. Running on Android Marshmallow, the processor has a frequency of 1.2 GHz. Also, the Mali-400 MP GPU makes it incapable for running advanced and more power hungry games.

Camera:

The Intex Aqua Q8 comes with a 5MP primary camera and a 0.3MP front camera. Also, the primary camera comes with features like auto focus, auto flash, and digital zoom. The photos taken by the primary aren’t the best and quality of the selfies are not worth mentioning however what can one expect for a price of Rs 4,290.

Battery:

The Intex Aqua Q8 packs a removable Li-ion battery with the capacity of 1650 mAh. On a full charge, the battery can last up to 6-7 hours.

That means if someone works or plays constantly on the mobile, the person would need a charger handy.

Design and Display:

The Intex Aqua Q8 comes with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display which has a resolution of 480x 854p. The capacitive touch screen has the pixel density of 218 ppi. This is quite a decent display. The screen is not very detailed or vibrant.

Storage:

The Intex Aqua Q8 comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory. The RAM and memory are not the best of this generation. The low RAM may cause the phone to crash or hang when too many applications are running on the phone at once. Also it would better if a SD card is used (not more than 32GB) ,for, it would be quite difficult to store all your files on the internal memory.

Miscellaneous:

The Intex Aqua Q8 features an Accelerometer, a Proximity Sensor, and a Light Sensor. A 1GB RAM is quite descent for the Q8 pricing in India Rs 4690. The phone is very basic and does not have much to offer.

Verdict:

The Intex Aqua Q8 is a good phone for its low price of Rs 4290. It is one of the better low range phones and quite nice if you don’t use it for heavy-duty functions. The phone is good if you want a quick replacement. Also it would be a nice gift for people who are just getting started with Android. It is a very well rounded phone for its price and if you don’t plan to use it for anything but basic functions (can play basic games).
