Xiaomi Mi TV 4A – Next Generation of Smart TVs has arrived!

Today, Xiaomi TV has unveiled their new generation of Mi TV that is touted to be smarter than previous generation smart television from the brand. With the introduction of new Mi TV 4A, the company is trying to improve the user experience of elders and children using their smart TVs. Wang Chuan, one of the co-founders of Xiaomi was on stage in Beijing to reveal the new Mi TV.

The company has been constantly working hard to provide for entertainment. To jog your memory, the brand launched their ultra slim Mi TV 4 at CES Expo, earlier this year. Now their latest smart televisions showcase that company has thought and worked on the feedback from its consumers. Below you can see the brief description of the new Mi TV 4A.

Design

The new Mi TV 4A comes in four different sizes ranging from 43’’, 49”, 55” and 65” Inches. It makes easier to choose the television according to individual’s preference. Thus, allowing to choose a model that truly fits your needs. The new smart TVs comes in two different resolutions sporting different panels. The Full HD model comes with Samsung/LG/AUO/CSOT panel while the 4K model will sport Samsung/LG/CSOT panel.

Performance

Talking about the performance of these new smart televisions, they pack Amlogic T962 Quad-core 64-bit high-performance processor that is also said to offer support of HDR 10 and HLG. To give you an understanding, HDR10 is the latest High Dynamic Range open technology that offers higher color depth and brightness levels in comparison to other technologies with a similar purpose.

Though, it isn’t superior to Dolby Vision technology but offers impressive color accuracy and brightness levels for Ultra HD Televisions. It sports 2GB DDR4 RAM and 32GB eMMC 5.1 storage, which ensures smooth multitasking, hence offering faster content delivery. In terms of audio department, there is a support of Dolby Audio and DTS-HD. These audio technologies ensure crystal clear sound output.

Connectivity

As far as connectivity is concerned, the new Mi TV 4A offers all popular format supports. It makes convenient for users to interact with their Televisions. The connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.2 and 802.11ac 2.4/5 GHz dual band Wi-Fi support. While the former lets you connect all Bluetooth enabled devices such as a mouse, remote controller, speaker, etc with Mi TV. The latter lets you connect the High-Speed routers to access fast internet connection on the Television.

Bonus Features

Xiaomi doesn’t stop with improved hardware on their new generation of Mi TVs, they have introduced AI Speech recognition on their new Mi TV 4A. The speech recognition makes it easier to enter complex Wi-Fi passwords or search as per your convenience through voice commands. The brand has equipped their new TV with deep learning AI system that is said to understand preferences and intelligently classifies the content. Thus, offering highly personalized recommendations as per viewer.

The new Mi TV 4A 43-inch (1080p) comes priced at 2099 Yuan, which converts approximately to Rs 19890. There is a 49-inch model (1080p) as well, which is priced at 2599 Yuan (approx. Rs 24600). The other two models, 55-inch and 65-inch come in 4K HDR resolution priced at 3199 Yuan (approx. Rs 31280) and 5699 Yuan (approx. Rs 53945), respectively. Though, do make a note that 32GB variants for 49-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch are priced higher at 2899 Yuan, 3599 Yuan, and 6199 Yuan.

For the features new Mi TV 4A comes equipped with the pricing model seems fair. The budget competition is not as high in smart television market as it is in the smartphone market. Thus, these new TVs shouldn’t have problem finding buyers.
