Last updated, February 14, 2018: Xiaomi has done it again, like every year it does, they have broken the barriers and showcased what innovation can do to your products. Not following the trend, but setting it up for the industry to follow, Xiaomi has launched a new set of Mi mobile phones this year and you should know about them, even if you don’t want to buy them.
Here are the new Mi Mobile phones that were launched in 2018:
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 – Rs 9,999 for 3GB RAM and Rs 11,999 for 4GB RAM
What is new on the Redmi Note 5 specifications?
> 5.99-inches full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
> 12MP rear camera, which might be a downgrade from a 13MP resolution. But it offers better pixel size, which apparently means more amount of light is captured by the lens. Thus, improving the low light photography.
> There is a LED selfie-light to guide your low-light self-portrait shots.
Everything else including the processor, RAM, and battery capacity is similar to Redmi Note 4.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro – Rs 13,999 for 4GB RAM and Rs 16,999 for 6GB RAM

Mi A1 – Android One phone you deserve!
Xiaomi in association with Google brought back their Android One program to India and is looking to promote it with a series of handsets. Mi A1 is the first handset in this series of Xiaomi Mi phones in India. Equipped with a best in class specification, this Xiaomi product brings an experience unlike seen before on a Xiaomi Mi mobile. This new Mi mobile was announced on 5th September 2017 and went on the first sale on September 12th.
Starting off with a camera setup that company is calling as a dual flagship camera. The optics department on this new Mi Mobile comes with a 12 MegaPixel wide angle and 12 MegaPixel telephoto lens. A setup very similar to the iPhone 7 Plus! Both lenses are 5P but have different aperture and pixel size. Capable of recording a 4K/1080p/720p video at 30fps and a 720p video at 120fps, this Mi mobile brings amazing camera features at an affordable price point. On the front, you get a 5MP camera with 36 beauty profile features. Now beautify your selfies like never before!
Powered by a Qualcomm chipset that is known for its great balance between performance and battery life. This Snapdragon 625 Octa-core processor clocks at 2.0 GHz, and enjoys a company of 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB internal storage for multitasking and storage. There is a rear fingerprint sensor on this handset and it packs a 3080 mAh capacity battery, which uses a type-c port for charging. Xiaomi retails a fast charger in India. This could be a first time that a Xiaomi phone is coming with a fast charger. Mi A1 flaunts a 5.5.-inch full HD resolution display that claims to offer great viewing angles.
