Asus ZenFone 5 Max Review:
Asus Zenfone 5 Max is the new sentry that Asus has sent to combat in the league of advanced smartphones with aesthetics as its primary weapon that its armed with. That said the other arms in the armory as just as good. The Asus Zenfone 5 Max release date in India is speculated to be in the first half of April 2018 and we don’t have a definite release date yet. The Asus Zenfone 5 Max price in India should be around the 17,000 - 18,000 margin. What’s hot?6GB RAM, Snapdragon 636 processor, Android Oreo OS, Adreno GPU, 18.7:9 Aspect ratio, 64GB internal memory, supports expandable memory up to 400GBWhat’s notNon-removable battery, 3300 mAh batteryProcessor:The Asus Zenfone 5 Max runs features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 under the hood to deliver the best multitasking Android experience. The Android Oreo interface goes a long in getting this job done. Everything from running multi screen applications, to gaming, to watching high definition movies on this will be a breeze. The 4/6 GB RAM on this comes to the rescue by taking the load off the processor. The integrated Adreno 509 GPU executes parallel processing with ease while running huge multiplayer games.Design and Display:The design is nothing out of the box or they haven’t come up with something that has the ability to start a revolution. Instead what they’ve done is mimicking someone that has already done that. The Design element on the Asus Zenfone 5 Max is identical to that on the iPhone X. That right, everything from the Top-Notch to the Bezel less screen screams Apple. Even the dual camera setup on the rear is identical to that of the iPhone X. So, not much innovation there.
Storage:The phone comes with an impressive internal storage capacity of 64GB that can be further expanded up to 64GB using a memory card. The only downside to this is that it doesn’t feature a dedicated memory card slot. You’d have to give up a SIM card slot if you were inclined on using the microSD card. But that’s fair enough. The competition in this price range does not offer anything exceptionally high as well.
Battery:What keeps the Asus Zenfone 5 Max is a 3300 mAh battery. The numbers don’t look great when compared with the Mi Max 2 or the Mi A1, but the phone promises to deliver a whole day’s charge on regular usage. The battery would be charged with a USB 2.0 Type-C cable and there is no mention about the Fast-charging feature yet. Camera:The Asus Zenfone 5 Max features a Dual camera setup that lets you explore the photographer in you. The 12+8MP dual camera features phase detection autofocus, gyro EIS, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. The selfie camera on this is an 8MP unit that never fails to the cease the moment with its Gyro EIS.Verdict:All in all the Asus Zenfone 5 Max is a purchase that will get you the value for money that you’re looking for while getting you the flagship phone experience. The phone checks all the boxes in terms of camera, battery, processor, design, and display. This is a phone you should wait for, if you are looking to get yourself a new Bezel-less phone.
